Water as an instrument. Every drop is a little physical event: a damped sine at a bubble's resonance whose pitch rises as it dies away - the shrinking bubble is the "bloop" - falling as random rain while the transport plays. Silent when stopped.
Parameters
| Density | Drops per second. A leak at 1, rain at 8, a downpour at 20. |
| Size | The bubble's scale: left is mist and drizzle (short, bright ticks), right is fat bloops with real pitch to them. |
| Spread | How much each drop differs from the Size knob - at 0 every drop is a clone, wide open it rains all sizes at once. |
| Chirp | The upward pitch bend inside each drop. This is the watery part: at 0 the drops are plain pings, past halfway they bloop like a tap into a full bucket. |
| Pool | Where the drops land: a small resonant wet tail under the rain. Dry stone at 0, a cistern at 1. |
| Width | How far across the stereo field the drops fall. |
| Level | Output volume. |
The rain is random but repeatable - the same patch renders the same storm every time, so a bounce will not surprise you.
Try: Density 2, Size 0.8, Chirp high and Pool halfway - a cave with a slow leak. Or Density 15, Size low, Spread wide into a big reverb: it reads as rain on a window. Cord it through Fern and every drop answers itself.
