A one-row trigger sequencer, as a MIDI source: sixteen buttons, click to place hits, the ^ row lifts a hit one octave, the hold row ties one across step boundaries, plus Swing, Gate and Velocity. Silent until the transport plays.
One row = one voice. Give it a Note and wire it into a Kick, a Mineral, a Sampler zone or a drum plugin - then stack several Steps channels, one per drum, each with its own swing and gate. Muting one row's cord (or its downstream mixer channel) is your live performance mute.
Parameters
| Note | The MIDI note every hit sends (36 = C1, the GM kick). |
| Swing | Delays every second 16th, up to a triplet feel. Give hats more swing than the kick and the groove opens up. |
| Gate | Hit length as a fraction of the step (ties extend past it). |
| Velocity | Hit velocity - automate for builds. |
Pair with Kick: turn the Kick's 4/4 mode off and sequence it from a Steps row instead when you want more than four-on-the-floor.
